Located at the base of the Crowsfoot Drainage in the Central Wasatch mountains. The 5 acre parcel connects to the local equestrian trails and park to the west of the property. The home has seasonal run-off that runs down through the property with a large pond in the center. The owner is an inventor, innovator and entrepreneur. The site is his laboratory to create and invent new ideas and tech. The home is a midcentury modern masterpiece that has become outdated and needed expansion for the growing family and space for the collection of cars the family has.

Parti: (Design organization) The existing home was re-skinned and the garage was extended to the south. The addition of a private primary suite is tucked into the falling grade. The pallet is that of concrete, corten steel and wood. Hints of Amangiri pull through in the design. The home surrounds a pool which is at the heart of the family’s entertaining.
