Harold Martinez's architectural journey began in his hometown near Cholula, Puebla, Mexico, where his early fascination with sketching cartoons evolved into a passion for mechanical drafting at the age of eleven. This passion was fueled by his junior high school teacher's assurance that drafting and designing could indeed be a viable career path—a belief that Harold embraced wholeheartedly. He fondly recalls purchasing his first set of drafting triangles, a symbolic beginning to his lifelong commitment to architecture.

Martinez's academic pursuits led him to graduate with a degree in architecture from BUAP in Mexico in 2006. After spending several years working on a variety of projects ranging from residential to industrial, he moved to Utah in 2013 to further his education. There, he earned a degree in Interior Design from Ensign College. Over the past eight years, Harold has amassed a wealth of experience working on projects that span the spectrum of residential, multifamily, educational, hospitality, commercial, and religious buildings.

Background

Combining his love for architecture and interior design with his foundational interest in mechanical drafting, Harold has also ventured into 3D artistry. His work focuses on the design of furniture, light fixtures, door hardware, and masonry ornaments, particularly for temples associated with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Harold finds profound satisfaction in witnessing the transformation of simple lines and dots on paper into tangible, immersive spaces that can be seen, felt, and touched.

Harold’s hobbies include motorcycle riding, drone flying over natural terrains, dancing to salsa and cumbia, reading entrepreneurial books, and watching documentaries. He is also passionate about restoring old VW Beetles and constructing small houses in Mexico.
