Richard Wright, AIA
CEO
With over 25 years of experience in the architectural profession, Richard Wright has gained extensive knowledge and expertise in every aspect of the design and construction process. He has provided invaluable contributions to every project, from the initial concept design phase to the construction administration phase. Richard has been in various leadership and management positions for domestic and international projects. His past project experience includes commercial, retail, professional office, residential, and religious worship spaces.
Richard’s passion for architecture started early and took hold when he was given a sketchbook as a youth. Fascinated with graphical expression and the associated build process, a 7th-grade shop class and drafting classes in high school expanded his desire to be part of the design industry. With the emerging technology of CAD tools in high school, he was able to hone both his hand-drafting skills as well as the new digital platforms. To this day, his kids will insist that his hand drafted plans were created with a computer program.

The client experience is foremost in Richard’s mind and building lasting relationships is a priority. For him, focusing on the quality, communication, and execution of the design work is key to fostering trust with each and every client. While his first choice will always be to be part of a project team, Richard is also the CEO of Edifice Design + Architecture and works closely with the other partners to implement the company vision. He received both a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies and a Master of Architecture from the University of Utah and is a licensed architect in Utah and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
